Exercise Physiology is an allied health discipline which uses exercise as therapy to prevent, treat and manage chronic health conditions and disabilities. This can include, but is not limited to:

  • Obesity
  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • Cardiorespiratory diseases
  • Cancer
  • Osteoporosis and balance issues

Exercise Physiologists have a minimum qualification of a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology in order to practise. In Australia, Exercise Physiologists are accredited with Exercise Sport Science Australia (ESSA).
